The original structure was built prior to 1921 and over the years was operated as a boarding house, group home a private residence and rumoured brothel. It was completely refurbished and the large turret addition added in the early 1990’s turning it into one of Alberta’s finest boutique Inns. The Heartwood boasts 8 beautifully decorated rooms in the main building, for those special occasions there is the honeymoon cottage and two family guesthouses – the Chancel and the Vacation Bungalow.
The full service day spa offers high quality therapeutic massage and aesthetic treatments including sugaring, pedicures and glorious facials. The Inn is just minutes walk from downtown shopping and restaurants, World’s Largest Dinosaur and the Badlands Community Facility with running track and gym. Other places of interest Royal Tyrrell Museum, Atlas Coal Mine, Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club, the Hoodoos, and Blackfoot Crossing Interpretive Centre.
